Marketing for small firms

Presentation to North Staffordshire Enterprise Club by Phil Osman on marketing for small business.

Who should attend?

Marketing is a key activity for any business that wants to succeed. But what is marketing? How can it benefit your business and, most importantly for a small business, how do you get maximum impact and results on a small budget?

If you are running a small (or not so small) business this seminar is for you. It will help you think strategically about how you approach your marketing, determine your priorities, de-mystify some of the terminology and review the promotional options available.

Lord Lever (Unilever) said ‘half of my advertising budget is wasted, the problem is knowing which half’. In today’s highly competitive market few small companies can afford such an approach and have to make sure that every penny counts. At the end of the seminar you should have gained an understanding of how marketing can contribute to your business, and be in a better position to ensure that your marketing budget is being spent to best effect.
